bits & pieces – fun week, lazy weekend

I swear I always come to do the bits and pieces round up and I can’t remember a thing I’ve done all week. Thank goodness for documenting your life through your phone camera, AMIRITE?!? Like the sunset pic above, it was pretty, and I feel like you all needed to share in that moment.

Anyways, Wednesday night was pretty cool cos my twitter mate, and occasional IRL mate Nicola invited me to ‘Bitchin Bingo’ at Cassette 9. She invited a bunch of my other friends too, but they all piked and MISSED OUT ON A GOOD ASS TIME. Shame. Let’s be real, Bingo is pretty fun on it’s own anyways, but Bitchin’ Bingo is like bingo and a comedy show all rolled into one. And you have the chance to win stuff like vodka and meat packs. Mean as. It’s essentially free too, you just pay for whatever drinks and food you feel like consuming whilst you play your 10 Bingo games. It’s on every 2nd Wednesday and I believe I shall be returning.

Thursday night nothing particularly spectacular happened. Oh, apart from the bf winning Best Pacific Male at the Pacific Music Awards. That was pretty cool come to think of it.

Friday night was spent hanging out in a caravan in the middle of Ponsonby, listening to Jay-Z and sipping on some brews. Luckily we were situated just behind the Whiskey Bar and got to catch D dot and The Daylight Robbery play the very intimate bar to about an 80 people capacity crowd. Even though I’ve seen them smash it in front of thousands at venues like R&V, this tiny hallway-esque bar was one of the best and most fun performances I’ve seen from them. Good times. EDIT: And of course, the night was made even more hilarious with birthday boy Rohan “the evader is back, man” Adarkar, who was well on form, and flipping me the bird every 5 or so minutes.

Other highlights include receiving the Pencil Boutique prize I won on the innanets! Rag Pony book-bag, Moleskin notepads and Moleskin pen, eeeeee! Also, an ASOS shipment arrived, which is always fun. What’s not so fun is realizing the body-con dress you bought is so body-con it’s not really possible to wear underwear with it. Or, maybe no undies IS fun?
