bits & pieces

The Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibition is on at Auckland Museum, it’s free, and you should really go. I went on Sunday and I agree with the sites description; ‘this incredible collection of 108 photographs encapsulates both the beauty of the world we live in and the fragility of nature.’ So many of the photos will take your breath away, for a number of reasons. Also, look at that cute lil monkey! How could you not go ??

The people at boohoo.com know, that aside from fashion, food is the way to a bloggers heart. The online retailer had it’s official NZ launch last week, treating a bunch of media sorts to lunch and fancy dranks at District Dining, with platform shoes serving as vases and handbags left on tables to be admired. The site lets you shop in NZ currency, nothing is over $100 and shipping is free. Plus, they have catwalk video of the models in the clothes, which is a huge thing for me when it comes to online shopping, if I can’t see how a piece of clothing moves and looks in motion, I won’t buy. Inspired I think by the photo exhibition, the bf decided to get his photographer on and snapped this beauty of a photo outside Auckland Museum. Notice the bird perched on the pillar? The bf’s first wildlife picture, pretty good huh?

I finally caught up on the last four episodes of Mad Men. I cried in one particular scene involving Don and Peggy, and loved every scene where Joan and Don were left alone together, particularly the ones near the end. Just brilliant.

*fitness challenge: I joined up to a 12 week fitness challenge with a group of friends. So expect me to be talking about pumping iron, etc. a bit more round these parts. Apologies in advance.
