“And nothing can compare, to when you roll the dice and swear your love’s for me”
Loving someone requires a certain amount of faith, there are no guarantees. There is always a risk, always a gamble involved when you choose to love someone completely – but when you both decide that the reward and journey of trying to love each other outweighs the risk of it not working, when you both decide to roll the dice, to go all in…well, ain’t that a beautiful thing? Finlay Quaye is right, nothing can compare.
Fresh Mint with Honey Tea at Zus & Zo
This week I am loving that the bf is back from Australia, my new laptop, fresh mint with honey tea, getting a buzz out of seeing myself in the NZ Herald’s Viva magazine, writing about X-Factor fashion over on The Corner and browsing boohoo for hours to pick out my top five sale items & these Mi Piaci heels. I also love that my sister Talia of Talia’s Treats took me to a beginners kickboxing class and her husband Joe started teaching me how to punch and kick. You may have noticed that I have been talking about exercise a lil more again, after basically falling off the last 6 months. I had my measurements and body-fat percentage done again, which shows unsurprisingly that I have regressed back to what I was (and a bit worse) for the same time last year – so while that sux a bit, I love that I know exactly where I am again, and am able to accurately set fitness and health goals once more. I love vine and am now addicted to making very amateurish stop-motion videos. I love being able to hang out with friends on the weekend and do absolutely nothing but play youtube vids and talk shit, and still have the best time. Oh, and I had a Georgie Pie last night, I loved that too. (this was before health goals were set, haha!). Click through for more pics and random links to things I love.
Oh, heyyyyyy!! I’m posting this off my brand new macbook, w00p! So, things should be starting to get back to business as usual round here very soon. In the meantime, may I suggest whipping yourself up a batch of these cookies to warm your belly? Good choice.
The freeze dried raspberries in Whittakers White Raspberry chocolate lifts this recipe to a whole ‘nother level. Don’t skip the vanilla either, cos that ties it all together :
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
125g butter
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla extract
100g macadamia nuts, chopped roughly
1/2 block of white raspberry chocolate, chopped roughly – you’ll want pretty large chunks.
Beat the sugars, butter and egg together until well mixed – but don’t cream them. Add the vanilla, flour, salt and baking soda, mix well. The dough will be quite stiff. Fold the nuts and chocolate through. Drop spoonfuls onto a lined tray. Bake 180C for 10-12 mins or until golden brown.

Stolen Girlfriends Club Creative Director, Marc Moore, describes the collection as a mishmash of opposing ideas and themes, call girls and American G.I’s. We got a sneak peak into the Spring collection on Wednesday night, at a huge, vacant and freezing warehouse in Newmarket (if only I could have warmed myself with wine). It felt as though the runway show was split into two themes, the first part had some of my favourite outfits which gave me of a kind of ‘Grown up Girl Scout’ vibe and my girl Shirl said they reminded her of the movie ‘Moonrise Kingdom.’ The second half featured a vibrant leopard print, which also showed up in see through full-length gowns. The highlight of this section being the head to toe orange leopard print jumpsuit and wide brimmed hat and a knee-length zip-off black trench coat. The night also hailed the launch of the MINI PACEMAN, which took its own turn down the runway wearing the SGC ‘Death Moth’ print. More runway pics below, lookbook images coming soon.
